Storj has evolved from a pure storage layer into a full-stack decentralized cloud for AI and media:

Valdi Integration & GPU Compute: Following the acquisition of Valdi, Storj fully integrated decentralized GPU computing into its platform in 2025. This allows developers to store massive datasets on Storj and immediately process them using distributed H100/A100 GPUs for AI training, creating a unified "Store & Compute" workflow that undercuts traditional cloud costs.

Tokenomics Overhaul (July 2025): The project implemented a major update to its economic model. The new system introduced Node Staking, where operators lock STORJ tokens to increase their reputation and eligibility for high-value commercial data.
